Job Summary:


The Dispatcher for the Wheelchair Operation is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of wheelchair assistance services. This role involves answering calls from airline clients requesting passenger assistance, ensuring the smooth operation of services, and overseeing the performance of front-line employees. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:


Client Communication: Answer calls from airline clients requesting wheelchair assistance for passengers, ensuring all requests are documented and addressed promptly.

Coordination: Dispatch wheelchair attendants to assist passengers, maintaining an organized schedule to meet client needs.

Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

Employee Supervision: Oversee front-line employees, ensuring they perform their duties according to company standards and policies.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure the quality of services provided meets client expectations.

Disciplinary Actions: Implement disciplinary measures for front-line employees when necessary, following company guidelines.

Customer Service: Address any issues or complaints from clients or passengers promptly and professionally.

Training: Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing training for current staff.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:


Experience: Previous experience in a dispatching role or similar position preferred.

    Skills:


    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.

    Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant technology.

Other Requirements:


    Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Strong leadership qualities and the ability to enforce policies and procedures.

    Knowledge of airport operations and safety regulations is advantageous.

Working Conditions:


    This position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.

    Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving passengers when necessary.
