Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the School Director in overseeing the daily operation of the school including managing staff, parents, children, health & safety, education, and all aspects of the school and business. This position works in close collaboration with the Owner, School Director and Assistant Director of Curriculum & Instruction. We can sponsor OPT and H1-B Visas.Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Mandarin) a plus.

The Goddard School of Maplewood is a trilingual preschool which teaches English, Spanish, and Mandarin in a Reggio-Emilia style approach from birth through Pre-K.


Essential Functions:

    Support the school’s mission and make it central to all decisions and actions.
    Ensure outstanding implementation of school’s mission and vision in every layer and aspect of the school, its people, and business operations.


School & Business Operations – Description of Duties

    Every morning, check property (gates, alarms, playground, outdoor classroom) for hazardous items and cleanliness. Unlock both gates and turn on the alarms. Once you come in, fill out the playground log for the day.
    Monitor teacher-child ratios & arrange coverage to support student-to-teacher ratio.
    Manage schedules and coverages for faculty members (bathroom breaks, lunch breaks, absences, coverages)
    Provide teacher coverage (bathroom breaks, lunch breaks, absences, assigned by Director or Owner)
    Substitute in, actively support, and lead classes as needed.
    Check Tadpoles Daily for: daily and timely accurate attendance for students and teachers, parent morning messages, teacher daily memorable moments, approving pictures for children (2 per day required)
    Collect, review and edit incident and observation reports with teachers and parents
    Call parents for incident, accident, illness and needed supplies.
    Support the security, organization, accuracy and completeness of student files and information
    Add medical (allergy, vaccination) information to FMS, as needed
    Schedule parent-teacher conferences via zoom/phone calls
    Schedule weekly lesson planning

Maintain School Inventory and Prepare Supply orders


Customer Service

    Welcome children and parents to the school each day, respond to comments and concerns.
    Manage and lead (with support from the Director) the Community Behavior Policy Process with outstanding communication, clarity and support
